Career Summary

Rob Duns is the wonderfully creative and accurate day-side meteorologist at WBBH, Fort Myers, Florida. Just this year he won the national Edward R. Murrow award for Excellence in Innovation. For the past three years in a row, he’s won the “Best Weathercaster” award from the Florida Association of Broadcasters. Get the picture; bright and sunny!

Rob joined WBBH in 2014. His Florida experience brought this mid-westerner face to face with extraordinary weather. He’s predicted, covered, and reported numerous hurricanes, tropical storms, tornados, and severe weather events. His highly creative “What’s on Rob’s Radar” informs and entertains Southwest Florida viewers everyday.

You might call Rob a man of extremes as he worked as a winter-loving meteorologist at Newsline 9 WAOW-TV in Wausau, Wisconsin prior to WBBH.

Rob has bachelor's and master's degrees from the Tim Russert Department of Communication and Theatre Arts at John Carroll University in Cleveland Ohio, and a certificate in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University.
