Harrison Golden is the weekend news anchor and political reporter for Local 33 and Fox 44, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
He joined the team in April 2017 and has covered major stories across Louisiana, including the shooting of Rep. Steve Scalise, and the federal investigation into Alton Sterling’s death. He shoots, writes and edits his own work, which regularly appears on Nexstar TV stations across Louisiana. He is a strong writer and storyteller and has a passion for covering Louisiana culture and its people.
Harrison previously worked as a writer/producer for Fox News in his home state of New York. Before Fox, he worked on air at WTBQ radio in Orange County, N.Y. and behind the scenes at CBS News.
Harrison has appeared on National Public Radio affiliates to discuss Louisiana politics, while his freelance writings (on varied topics) have been published in USA Today, TODAY.com, CNN.com, and Interview.
In his spare time, Harrison loves dominating the karaoke stage and every so often curling up with a good history book.
