Career Summary

Lauren McDonald is the dynamic morning feature and breaking news reporter at FOX21 News in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  She joined Fox21 after several years at The Golf Channel to grow professionally in a feature reporting role or as a morning news anchor and host.

At The Golf Channel, Lauren grew from an internship to host several shows for including Fantasy Golf Show; a weekly preview of predictions and expectations for the PGA, EUROPEAN & LPGA TOURS. She was a valuable member of the Golf Channel family, traveling to twelve of Golf's major Championships including; The Masters, U.S. Open Championship & PGA Championship. She also covered the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, as a feature producer for NBC across multiple platforms with NBC's Jimmy Roberts.

Lauren got her start at Meredith College School of Communications, Raleigh North Carolina working both in-front of the camera and behind the scenes in MC student media. Recruited by Meredith College athletics, she was a Division II student-athlete & a top runner on the cross-country team during her four years at Meredith.

Lauren explains “when it came time to start thinking about college and my future, I can remember my grandfather telling me "do something you'll enjoy and remember you CAN do anything you set your mind to." It was after that conversation that I said, "I CAN tell people's stories on camera like Matt Lauer and Katie Couric!" From that day on "I can" became "I will" and I've never really looked back.”
