Meghan Bragg is an award winning television journalist currently the producer/reporter of the TEGNA "We Verify" franchise at WCNC, Charlotte North Carolina. Meghan is also an accomplished anchor, investigative reporter and storyteller. The Verify franchise nightly clarifies facts and confusion on current stories and issues. She joined WCNC in May 2022 from WSTM-TV Syracuse, New York where she co-anchored the evening newscasts.

She covered the pandemic at its height with investigations into rapid tests, nursing home deaths and a full investigation of a major covid outbreak at Green Empire Farms. More than 100 farm workers contracted the virus and several died. She also investigated problems of race in law enforcement and revealed that most Syracuse police officers don’t live in Syracuse.

She was also a frequent fill-in anchor on the 5,6 &10 pm newscasts and worked in the field covering pandemic stories, Governor Cuomo briefings, and breaking news.

Meghan graduated from Florida Southern College in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. She began her career on the island of Saipan covering the legislature of the U.S. Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands and the the impeachment of the CNMI's governor.

After spending a year in Asia, Meghan moved to North Platte, Nebraska where she helped start a new station and added anchoring to her resume. Meghan worked as a morning anchor and then moved to evening anchor. During her tenure in North Platte, she won an Associated Press Award for her investigative coverage of a local hotel. She also received an Eric Sevareid Award for a newscast anchoring and producing.

After two years in North Platte, Meghan moved across the state to Lincoln where she anchored the morning news and covered the Nebraska legislature.

In January 2017, Meghan accepted a reporter position at WBBH-TV, Fort Myers Florida. For three years, she covered several stories that gained national attention; Hurricane Irma and the hunt for accused serial killer, Lois Riess. At WBBH, she won an Edward Murrow Award for breaking news coverage of a local plane crash in Ft. Myers.
