Kamady Rudd is a gifted television news anchor and Emmy nominated multi media journalist. She combines brains, warmth, character and natural performance skills to lead newscasts and recruit viewers.
She landed the lead news chair on the morning newscast at WZZM, (Tegna) Grand Rapids Michigan, in October 2016 after working her way through small markets, Ottumwa Iowa and Shreveport and large, San Diego, as a sports journalist. Along the way she garnered recognition as a creative mmj, writer and anchor in both news and sports.
In Michigan, Kamady created content that correlated directly with rating bumps. She is responsible for successful franchises like Sunrise Sidelines and Getting Schooled. Her hard work earned multiple MAB awards and NATAS Emmy award nominations. In addition to her job, she serves on multiple boards including the BISSELL Pet Foundation Board advocating for the safety and well-being of all animals.
Kamady is from a small town in Indiana and graduated from Indiana University. Currently, she and her husband and young son live in the Grand Rapids where they enjoy the multiple parks and museums West Michigan has to offer.
