Ashley Bornancin is a bright light on morning television in Toledo Ohio. She is the morning live and mmj reporter on WTVG’s morning news. Ashley joined WTVG in January, 2021 following several years of multi-platform work in Los Angeles.
She greeted the day with us in Las Vegas and Reno on CW and entertained us in major motion pictures and primetime TV in L.A. Ashley crossed several media platforms professionally; affiliate TV news, red carpets, try USA, E!, NBC, the list really does go on. Ashley’s made of television talent, and she’s earned the right to boast.
Ashley Bornancin displayed her zest for information, writing and news when she was just five. What began as a few pushes on the keys of her mother's typewriter, soon became an original neighborhood newsletter. Fast forward 13 years and she'd enrolled at Indiana University's Ernie Pile School of Journalism. She then wrapped up her B.A. in journalism at Biola University in Los Angeles, where she soon began padding her professional resume.
She went with the origin of her first and greatest passion; to write and tell the stories of the worlds in which she has lived. She chose TV News, and back in Ohio.
Today, when she’s not reporting, writing, and producing with WTVG-TV, she’s running half-marathons, learning languages and traveling to use them.
