James Starks is an achiever and winner currently co-anchoring the morning news on WZZM, Grand Rapids Michigan. James became a sports anchor and reporter at KPRC, Houston in the summer of 2014. He began his professional broadcast career at WLTX-TV in Columbia, South Carolina following his 2011 graduation from Kent State University School of Journalism and Mass Communication where he earned his Master of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism Reporting.
At Capital University, Columbus, Ohio he received his undergrad degree and distinguished himself as a two-time All-American. He signed a free-agent contract with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2008. After an unfortunate injury, James played in the Arena Football League before signing with the Ancona (Italy) Dolphins.
