Maria gained significant investigative experience as a litigation and advisory attorney in Washington, D.C., with the United States Capitol Police and as a prominent shareholder at an international law firm. She earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Duke University, her law degree from the University of Virginia and a masters degree in journalism from American University.
