Career Summary

Nestor is a general assignment reporter at Fort Myers' WBBH-TV. He joined the NBC2 team in 2017 from KWTX in Waco, Texas.

Nestor fell in love with journalism as a teenager and continues to develop his passion for storytelling. He enjoys sharing stories that matter and make a difference in the community.

As a student at the University of Florida he gained experience reporting the scene of the Pulse Nightclub Shooting in Orlando and the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

He is the recipient of two Florida Associated Press Broadcasters awards for reporting and individual breaking news coverage.

At KWTX News 10 in Waco, Texas he’s worked hard to master his craft as a daily multi-skilled journalist covering both daily news and enterprise stories.

Nestor is proud of his Cuban heritage and is fully bilingual in Spanish and English.

When Nestor is not reporting or watching the news, he enjoys spending time with family, catching up on the latest movies, eating Cuban food, and channeling his inner thrill seeker.
