Career Summary
Jade Cunningham is an experienced multi-media journalist who fills a variety of roles at WWL, New Orleans. She currently anchors the noon news and reports afternoons. She joined WWL-TV in December of 2015 and has seen and covered many extraordinary stories at this historic American city including hurricanes, floods, the arts and of course Mardi Gras.
Prior to New Orleans, Jade spent three years anchoring and reporting at KTAL in Shreveport.
Jade’s career began in Cheyenne, Wyoming where she was a reporter, weather forecaster, anchor, and producer at CBS affiliate KGWN. In 2011, Jade was honored with a Wyoming Association of Broadcaster’s 1st Place award for “Best Breaking News Reporter.” In 2012 Jade accepted the reporting and anchoring position at KTAL.
Jade is a native of San Diego and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado where she majored in Broadcast News and minored in French.
She enjoys trying new things (like experimenting with different food recipes) being outdoors (hiking, biking, kayaking) and, like most broadcast journalists, Jade loves meeting new people.
Jade and her husband and their two sons live in Metairie, Louisiana.
