Career Summary

Brad Hamilton is a general assignment reporter at WJW, FOX8, Cleveland Ohio. Brad joined J-Dub, as its affectionately called, in August 2022 from his weekend anchor and reporter assignment at WISC, Madison Wisconsin. He joined WISC in July 2021 from his multi media reporter role at WBBH-TV the NBC affiliate in Ft. Myers Florida. Brad is a strong writer and storyteller with natural reporter instincts and a passion for success. Brad joined WBBH in October, 2020 from the Brainerd studios of Minnesota’s PBS Lakeland News where he frequently backed up on the anchor desk.

In Brainerd, Brad reported both news and sports. He's also worked as a radio broadcaster for minor league baseball affiliate, the Aberdeen IronBirds and spent two seasons as a color analyst for Kent State University’s ESPN3 production of Women’s Volleyball and Basketball.

Brad’s passion for journalism runs in his family. Both of his parents are journalists and met while working at WBNS-10TV in Columbus. Growing up, he says, there was always either a game or the local Cleveland news on in my house. My parents are my hero’s. I always wanted to be just like them.

Brad and his wife Brittney married this summer and live in Brainerd, Minnesota.

Brad earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Kent State University where he majored in broadcast journalism. Brittney is also a Kent State grad and both were student athletes. Brittney played Volleyball and Brad, Baseball. Brad is quick to add that Brittney is by far the better athlete. A healthy dose of self-deprecation goes a long way; Brad was a four-year letterman on KSU’s Division I baseball team.
