Career Summary

Evan Brooks is a strong multi media journalist working as the Bowling Green, Kentucky Bureau reporter for Spectrum News 1.

As an undergrad, Evan played wide receiver at Howard University. "I have played football all my life growing up and sports remain my passion, but I'll always love telling stories." This was evident in 2019 when he won his first NABJ award for best feature story.

Evan earned his master's degree at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. "My love and passion for journalism can’t be understated. I put my all into each and every story keeping them accurate and interesting for the viewers. I want to continue to build on my already strong foundation and look forward to the day when viewers stop in their tracks to sit down, watch and listen to me tell their community's stories."
